The present invention relates to a medical device, and more particularly to a method of forming a tubular membrane (400) on a radially expandable structural frame (101). In one aspect, a structural frame is placed over a spinning mandrel and a fiber is electro-statically spun over at least a portion of the structural frame forming a membrane. A transfer sheath may be used between the mandrel and structural frame to prevent the electro-statically spun fiber from adhering to the mandrel. In another aspect, a first membrane is spun over the mandrel before the structural frame is placed over the mandrel. In this aspect, at least a portion of the structural frame is sandwiched between the membranes. The membrane or membranes and structural frame form a fiber spun frame assembly. The fiber spun frame assembly may be coated with an elastic polymer. In addition, the membrane or membranes may go through some post processing to achieve desired characteristics or configurations.
L'invention concerne un dispositif médical, et plus particulièrement, un procédé de formation d'une membrane tubulaire (400) sur un cadre structurel radialement extensible (101). Dans un premier aspect, un cadre structurel est placé sur un mandrin rotatif, une fibre étant ensuite enroulée par voie électrostatique sur au moins une partie du cadre structurel pour former une membrane. Une gaine de transfert peut être utilisé entre le mandrin et le cadre structurel pour empêcher la fibre ainsi enroulée d'adhérer au mandrin. Dans un autre aspect, une première membrane est enroulée sur le mandrin avant que le cadre structurel ne soit placé sur le mandrin. Dans cet aspect, au moins une partie du cadre structurel est prise en sandwich entre les membranes. La ou les membranes forment conjointement avec le cadre structurel un ensemble cadre de fibre filée. L'ensemble cadre de fibre filée peut être recouvert d'un polymère élastique. De plus, la ou les membranes peuvent subir quelques opérations post-traitement pour obtenir les caractéristiques ou les configurations souhaitées.
