The invention provides a method of regulating the power of transmission between first and second stations in a multiple satellite visibility satellite telecommunication network. The method comprises the following cyclic steps: regulation, for each of said N channels, of an isolated transmit power level command signal such that when it commands the power at which the first station transmits the first isolated signal in each channel the quality level of the corresponding isolated second signal received by the second station is equal to a reference quality level, and regulation, for all of the N channels, of N combined transmit power level command signals such that when they command the levels at which the first station respectively transmits the N first combined signals on the N channels the quality level of the global signal received formed from the N combined second signals is equal to the reference quality level. Depending on whether the isolated command signal having the minimal level is such that this minimal level is less than or greater than a maximal tolerated isolated command level, the minimal level isolated command signal is selected to command the power with which the first station transmits a call signal in the corresponding channel, or the N combined command signals are selected to command the power with which the first station transmits respective combined call signals on the N channels.
L'invention est une méthode de régulation de la puissance d'émission entre une première et une seconde stations d'un réseau de télécommunication utilisant plusieurs satellites visibles. La méthode comporte les opérations cycliques suivantes : régulation, pour chacun des N canaux, d'un signal de commande de niveau de puissance d'émission isolé, de telle façon que, quand ce signal détermine la puissance à laquelle la première station doit émettre le premier signal isolé dans chaque canal, le niveau de qualité du second signal isolé correspondant reçu par la seconde station est égal au niveau de qualité de référence, et régulation pour les N canaux des N signaux de commande de niveau de puissance d'émission combinés, de telle façon que, quand ils déterminent les niveaux auxquels la première station émet les N premiers signaux combinés sur les N canaux, le niveau de qualité du signal global reçu produit à partir des N seconds signaux combinés est égal au niveau de qualité de référence. Selon que le signal de commande isolé de niveau minimal est tel que ce niveau minimal est inférieur ou supérieur au niveau de commande isolé maximal toléré, le signal de commande isolé de niveau minimal est choisi pour déterminer la puissance à laquelle la première station doit émettre le signal d'appel dans le canal correspondant, ou les N signaux de commande combinés sont sélectionnés pour déterminer la puissance à laquelle la première station doit émettre les signaux d'appel combinés individuels sur les N canaux.
