A PT diametral creep prediction method of CANDU includes classifying creep data consisting of input-output data pairs (x1,.multidot., x4, y r) from nuclear power plants into training data and verification data; inputting arbitrary variables at an initial time to operate a genetic algorithm to randomly generate an initial chromosome including membership function parameters; calculating a fitness function of the genetic algorithm; determining whether a degree of fitness of the fitness function is greater than a predetermined value; altering the variables through genetic manipulation including selection, crossing and modification to continuously improve the genetic algorithm, if the degree of fitness of the fitness function is less than the predetermined value; generating a membership function based on an SC method; calculating consequent parameters of a fuzzy rule function using a least-squares method; revising an FNN creep prediction model with the membership function and the consequent parameters; evaluating uncertainty of the FNN creep prediction model, if it is determined that the degree of fitness of the fitness function is greater than the predetermined value; and calculating a complete FNN creep prediction model.
