ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a method of preparation of insoluble biologically active insoluble compounds. This method consists in oxidizing a polymer carrier containing a side chain p-phenylenediamine skeleton, which polymer is of the general formula I Image I where R1 is a polymer residue, R2 is a low alkyl group, and x is an integer ranging from 1 to 4, in the presence of a soluble biologically active compound containing a primary amino group selected in the group consisting of enzymes, coenzymes, inhibitors of enzymes, hormones, and antigens. Such insoluble biologically active compounds can particularly be used in affinity chromatography.
