METHOD OF PREPARATION Of PHARMACEUTICAL COMPOSITION FOR TREATING PERIPHERAL ORTHOSTATIC HYPOTENSION ABSTRACT The specification relates to a pharmaceutical compos- ition for treating peripheral orthostatic hypotension. The active ingredient of the composition is DL- or L-threo-3,4-dihydroxyphenylserine, or a pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salt thereof. The specification also relates to a method of preparation of the same and a method for treating peripheral orthostatic hypotension with the active compound. The stated active ingredient has been found quite unexpectedly to be particularly effective for the treatment of hypotension of this type.
