The invention relates to the establishment of a novel method for cultivating sponge cells, coral cells and cells of other invertebrates in vitro. The cells cultivated in vitro, which can be cultivated as units similar to aggregates, are called primmorphs. The inventive method enables the following processes to be carried out with cells/aggregates/primmorphs for the first time: (i) the production of proliferation-, DNA synthesis modulating substances; (ii) the identification/detection of substances which are harmful to the environment; (iii) the cultivation of bacteria and other microorganisms; (iv) the production of sexless reproducing bodies which can be used in acquaculture for breeding the corresponding organisms; (v) for creating cell banks; (vi) for optimising nutritional needs of the cells/aggregates/primmorphs and (vii) for identifying substances which modulate the telomerase activity in cells/aggregates/primmorphs.
L'invention concerne la mise au point d'un nouveau procédé pour cultiver des cellules d'éponges, de coraux et des cellules d'autres invertébrés in vitro. Les cellules cultivées in vitro que l'on cultive comme des unités de type agrégatif, sont appelées des morphes primaires. Ce procédé permet pour la première fois, de mettre en oeuvre les procédés suivants, à l'aide de cellules/corps par agrégation/morphes primaires d'éponges, de coraux et d'autres invertébrés: (i) pour préparer des substances de prolifération modulant la synthèse d'ADN; (ii) pour identifier/détecter des substances polluantes; (iii) pour mettre des bactéries et d'autres micro-organismes en culture; (iv) pour préparer des corps de prolifération asexués s'utilisant en aquaculture, pour les cultiver afin d'en obtenir les organismes correspondants; (v) pour établir des cytothèques; (vi) pour optimiser les besoins alimentaires des cellules/corps par agrégation/morphes primaires, et (vii) pour identifier des substances qui modulent l'activité de la télomérase dans des cellules/corps par agrégation/morphes primaires.
