A method of preparing hexaalkyl distannanes by converting bis-[trialkyltin]oxide with a stabilized solution of sodium borohydride in alcohol, preferably methanol, in the presence of an inert solvent. The resulting compounds of general formula: R1R2R3Sn - SnR1R2R3, wherein R1, R2 and R3 are similar or dissimilar, branched or unbranched and/or substituted alkyls, are obtained in almost quantitative yields.

Méthode pour préparer des distannanes d'hexaalkyle par conversion d'oxyde de bis-[trialkylétain] à l'aide d'une solution stabilisée de borohydrure de sodium dans l'alcool, de préférence le méthanol, en présence d'un solvant inerte. Les composés résultants, obtenus en rendements presque quantitatifs, sont de formule générale R1R2R3Sn - SnR1R2R3, où R1, R2 et R3 sont semblables ou différents, linéaires ou ramifiés et (ou) des alkyles avec substitution.
