ABSTRACT METHOD OF PREPARING SINGLE BILAYERED LIPOSOMES An improved procedure for the preparation of single bilayered liposomes is provided which contain encapsulated biologically active materials. An ethanolic solution of a phospholipid and the biologically active material is injected under pressure into an aqueous electrolyte solution contained in a high speed homogenizer. The liposomes are formed spontaneously.
