ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Provided is a method of preventing expansion-induced wrinkles of plastic films or metal foils consisting in that, as a plastic film or metal foil is brought into contact with a roll heated to 150°C or more, the above-mentioned plastic film or metal foil is preheated to not less than 150°c and not more than 50°C above the temperature of the heated roll and then is tensioned in the transverse direction. The invention enables manufacture of fine-looking plastic films or metal foils having no wrinkles.
