The present invention provides a method for preventing, ameliorating and/or treating damage to the lining of the alimentary tract resulting from chemotherapy and/or radiation, which method includes administering to a patient in need thereof an effective amount of a milk product extract. The present invention also provides a pharmaceutical or veterinary composition for preventing, ameliorating and/or treating damage to the lining of the alimentary tract resulting from chemotherapy and/or radiation, said composition including an effective amount of a milk product extract and a pharmaceutically or veterinarily diluent, carrier or excipient, therefor.
La présente invention concerne une méthode de prévention, d'amélioration et/ou de traitement des lésions causées à la muqueuse du tube digestif, résultant d'une chimiothérapie et/ou de rayonnements, méthode comportant l'administration au patient qui en a besoin d'une quantité efficace d'un extrait de produit laitier. La présente invention comprend également une composition pharmaceutique ou vétérinaire pour la prévention, l'amélioration et/ou le traitement des lésions causées à la muqueuse du tube digestif, résultant d'une chimiothérapie et/ou de rayonnements, ladite composition incluant une quantité efficace d'un extrait de produit laitier et un diluant, un vecteur ou un excipient pharmaceutique ou vétérinaire.
