A method for printing a graphic having uniform ink density on selected pixel locations 58,58 of a printing screen 44 coated with a light sensitive emulsion 46 is provided. According to one embodiment of the invention, only some of the pixel locations are printed as required to form a desired image during the first pass of a printhead 48 across a strip of the emulsion coated screen 44. The remaining pixel locations are printed as required during a second pass of the printhead 48 across the strip. According to a second embodiment of the invention, a portion of the pixel locations in each strip are re-printed on the next succeeding pass of the printhead 48 across the screen 44.
Méthode d'impression d'un graphique dont la densité de l'encre est uniforme aux emplacements de pixels sélectionnés (58,58) d'un écran d'impression (44) recouvert d'une émulsion photosensible (46). Selon un modèle de l'invention, seuls certains emplacements de pixels sont imprimés au besoin pour donner l'image voulue au cours du premier passage de la tête d'impression (48) sur une bande de l'écran (44) recouvert d'une émulsion photosensible. Les emplacements de pixels restants sont imprimés au besoin au cours d'un deuxième passage de la tête d'impression (48) sur la bande. Selon un autre modèle de l'invention, une partie des emplacements de pixels de chaque bande sont réimprimés au prochain passage de la tête d'impression (48) sur l'écran (44).
