METHOD OF PRINTING ON PLASTIC SUBSTRATE USING A WATER-BASED INK ABSTRACT A method of flexographic or rotogravure printing onto a plastic substrate using a water-based ink is disclosed wherein the improvement comprises adding to said ink from about 0.005 to about 5 weight percent of a low molecular weight silicone compound. The incorporation of the silicone compound provides good wetting of the substrate by the ink and results in improved printing characteristics.
