ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method is disclosed for processing, including rinsing, board-like objects, for example, circuit boards by means of a flow of liquid that is applied to the objects in the form of a surge flow, it being preferred that the objects be moved in a horizontal position. The objects incorporate continuous drilled holes and/or blind drillings. In order to obtain the advantage that accompanies an even surge flow for considerably less production effort that can be obtained withe the prior art, a flattened form, which is of approximately equal and thin cross section, is imparted to the stream of liquid by fanning out a stream of liquid, preferably a plurality of streams of liquid, hat are of approximately circular cross section and which are spaced apart adjacent to each other. This flattened stream of liquid passes to the objects to be processed approximately transversely to the direction of movement and is applied to the object at an angle of incidence of the flow (.alpha.). In addition, the present invention relates to an apparatus for carrying out the process with a plate-like directing system that subtends an acute angle of impact (.beta.) with the direction of departure of the processing liquid and subtends an angle of incidence of the flow (.alpha.) with the object that is to be processed.
