The subject of the invention is a method for manufacturing a cathode for a molten carbonate fuel cell by oxidation of a porous precursor electrode and contact with molten carbonate. The precursor electrode, following assembly of a layered arrangement that contains the precursor electrode, a matrix layer made of molten carbonate, and a porous anode, with a presettable curve for the current density, is oxidized anodically and doped by contact with molten carbonate.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour produire une cathode destinée à une cellule électrochimique au carbonate en fusion, en oxydant une électrode précurseur poreuse et en l'amenant en contact avec le carbonate en fusion. Après assemblage d'une configuration stratifiée contenant l'électrode précurseur, une couche matricielle avec le carbonate en fusion, et une anode poreuse, l'électrode précurseur subit une oxydation anodique avec une évolution prédéterminée de la densité de courant et est dopée par contact avec le carbonate en fusion.
