The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a curved product, wherein the process comprises positioning a plurality of drawn polymeric reinforcing elements onto a mandrel, locally adhering at least a part of the elements to each other, and removing the product from the mandrel. The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing a curved article, preferably an armour article, from the curved product, the process comprising positioning the curved product in a mould and compressing said product at an elevated temperature and pressure. The curved armour article has good antiballistic properties and is substantially free of wrinkles.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication d'un produit incurvé, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à positionner plusieurs éléments de renforcement en polymère étiré, sur un mandrin, à faire adhérer localement au moins une partie des éléments les uns aux autres, et à retirer le produit du mandrin. L'invention concerne également un procédé de fabrication d'un article incurvé, de préférence un article de blindage, à partir du produit incurvé, le procédé comprenant les étapes consistant à positionner le produit incurvé dans un moule et à comprimer ledit produit jusqu'à une température élevée et une pression élevée. L'article de blindage incurvé a de bonnes propriétés anti-balistiques et est sensiblement exempt de plis.
