The invention relates to a process for manufacturing a seamless hot-finished tube of steel with reduced capacity for deformation, especially roller bearing steel, wherein a pretreated and degassed and deoxidized molten steel is continuously cast in the required chemical composition and, after separation from the strand, the continuously cast bar, divided into insertion lengths, is subjected to forming. According to the invention, the insertion length is heated to forming temperature and fed to a tube-machine without any prestraining, i.e., in the cast state and without heat treatment (diffusion annealing).

L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'un tuyau sans soudure fini à chaud, en acier à déformabilité réduite, notamment de l'acier pour paliers à roulement. De l'acier liquide désoxydé, prétraité et dégazé correspondant à la composition chimique requise, est coulé en continu et présente une section transversale quelconque. Après séparation de la barre, la pièce d'acier coulée est soumise à un processus de formage, une fois fractionnée en longueurs appropriées à l'utilisation finale. Selon l'invention, les tronçons ainsi obtenus sont portés à la température de formage, sans formage préalable, c.-à-d. à l'état de pièce coulée et sans traitement thermique (homogénéisation), puis sont acheminés jusqu'à une usine de production de tuyaux.
