A software product is produced by defining a functional model of the overall software product,designing,based on this functional model,a plurality n of configurations and slices of the software product,wherein a configuration is the entirety or a part of the software product forming an independently testable unit and a slice is a set of functions of the software product constructed together and forming the entirety or part of a configuration.The n slices are independently constructed wherein the first slice forms the first configuration.The second to n-th configurations are formed by integrating the k-th configuration with the (K+1)slice,wherein k is l,...,n.Subsecuently a first to n-th configuration are tested independently.This software development approach allows an integration of the overall systems in parts as early as possible and to gradually increase the number of integrated components in a controlled,but manageable fashion.This allows to achieve a highly efficient use of resources within a short development time.

L'invention concerne un produit logiciel fabriqué par définition d'un modèle fonctionnel du produit logiciel global, et conception sur la base de ce modèle fonctionnel d'une pluralité n de configurations et de tranches du produit logiciel, une configuration étant la globalité ou une partie du produit logiciel formant une unité pouvant être testée indépendamment, et une tranche étant un ensemble de fonctions du produit logiciel construites ensemble et formant la globalité ou une partie d'une configuration. Les n tranches sont construites indépendamment, la première tranche formant la première configuration. Les configurations 2 à n sont formées par intégration de la k?ième¿ configuration avec la tranche k+1, k étant 1 à n. Ensuite, les configurations 1 à n sont testées indépendamment. Cette approche de développement de logiciel permet une intégration rapide du système global en parties et une augmentation graduelle du nombre de composants intégrés de manière commandée et gérable. Ainsi, il est possible de mettre en oeuvre selon l'invention une utilisation très efficace de ressources sur une durée de développement réduite.
