Abstract At a method of producing an identity document, such as a driv- ing license or identity card, it is proceeded from a reproduct- ion of a picture or an original reproduction of the person in question together with text representing relevant data, which reproduction is copied on a photographic base, which then is provided with a pattern, marks or the like in colour. Accord- ing to the invention the reproduction or original reproduction is copied-in on a photographic multi-colour paper, and the application of pattern, marks or the like is carried out by photographic copying-in the same on the photographic multi- colour paper, which thereafter is developed.
