ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of producing coins, medals or the like from an alloy which is hardenable by means of structural hardening, i.e. hardenable by one or several heat treatments, this method comprising the following operations: (a) hot rolling or cold rolling of an ingot, or hot rolling thereof followed by cold rolling, said ingot being composed of an alloy which is hardenable by means of thermal treatment; (b) cutting of a blank from said ingot; (c) edge-forming the blank; (d) applying thermal treatment inducing softening to the blank after operation (a) or after operation (b); (e) forming the aarticle by a die-stamping operation from said blank; (f) applying thermal hardening treatment to the die-stamped blank.
