A method of producing a lens cell comprising the ES cell-maintaining step wherein ES cells are maintained by using a medium containing fibroblast growth factor FGF-2 at a concentration of from 2 to 50 ng/ml, and the differentiation- inducing step following the ES cell-maintaining step wherein the ES cells are transplanted and cultured in mouse skull bone marrow cells PA6 at a cell density of from 2 to 6.5 colonies/cm2 to thereby induce the differentiation of the ES cells into lens cells. It is preferred to further employ the step of washing the undifferentiated ES cells once with the use of an ES differentiation medium between the above-described ES cell-maintaining step and the above-described differentiation-inducing step.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production de cellules du cristallin, qui comprend une étape de maintien des cellules ES au moyen d'un milieu contenant un facteur de croissance des fibroblastes, selon une concentration de 2 à 50 ng/ml. L'étape de maintien des cellules ES est suivie de l'étape de différenciation au cours de laquelle les cellules ES sont transplantées et cultivées dans les cellules PA6 de la moelle osseuse du crâne de la souris, selon une densité des cellules comprise entre 2 et 6,5 colonies/cm?2¿, afin d'induire la différenciation des cellules ES dans les cellules du cristallin. Il est en outre préférable de mettre en oeuvre l'étape de lavage des cellules ES différenciées en utilisant un milieu de différenciation des ES entre l'étape de maintien des cellules ES et l'étape de différenciation.
