A process for producing peptidyl aldehyde derivatives represented by general formula (I), wherein A represents amino acid-origin acyl; and R1 and R2 are different and one represents hydrogen while the other represents optionally substituted lower alkyl; characterized by oxidizing a peptidyl alcohol derivative represented by general formula (II), wherein each symbol is as defined above; with DMSO in the presence of diisopropylethylamine. By using this process, the formation of stereoisomers can be prevented or regulated.

L'invention concerne un procédé de fabrication de dérivés d'aldéhydes de peptidyle représentés par la formule générale (I) dans laquelle A représente un acyle provenant d'un acide aminé et R¿1? et R¿2? sont différents, l'un représentant hydrogène et l'autre représentant un alkyle inférieur éventuellement substitué. Ces dérivés sont caractérisés par l'oxydation d'un dérivé d'alcool de peptidyle représenté par la formule générale (II) dont chaque symbole est défini plus haut, et ce avec DMSO et en présence de diisopropyléthylamine. Ce procédé permet de freiner ou de contrôler la formation de stéréoisomères.
