A method of producing a raw dehydrated pet food product capable of rehydration to a reconstituted food of good quality. A good quality raw pet food is spread out in layers and placed on racks in a wind chamber. The wind chamber is equipped with a multitude of electric fans that circulate the air to dry out the moisture in the product. The product is dried to a specified weight for the protein type. The dried sheets are frozen for 24 hours, then shredded, placed in the chamber for a second time, then packaged.
