- 1 - Abstract: A solid-state imaging device has filters of the three primary colors in the mosaic filter configuration. These are stacked on a solid-state imager LSI having a plurality of picture elements each consisting of a photoelectric conversion element and a scanning element arrayed as a matrix. The di- mensions of filter layout patterns for the respective colors on exposure masks used for forming the color filters follow the requirement: TR < TB < TG where TR denotes the thickness of the red filter, TG that of the green filter and TB that of the blue filter. These are smaller than the dimensions of the picture elements. In par- ticular the dimensions of the filter patterns on the mask for forming the green filters are the smallest.
