A method of applying a fabric relaxant to a textile surface provides a substantially wrinkle-free textile surface. The method includes moistening the textile surface, applying the fabric relaxant onto the moistened textile surface, and drying the moistened textile surface using steam. The fabric relaxant includes a hydrophobic polydimethylsiloxane polymer having at least one positively-charged functional group.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé d'application d'un produit de relaxation du tissu sur une surface textile. Ce procédé, qui permet d'obtenir une surface textile pratiquement infroissable, consiste : à humidifier ladite surface textile, à appliquer le produit de relaxation du tissu sur la surface textile humidifiée, et à sécher cette surface à l'aide de vapeur. Ledit produit de relaxation du tissu comprend un polymère polydiméthylsiloxane hydrophobe comportant au moins un groupement fonctionnel à charge positive.
