Method of producing thiobarbituric acid derivatives of formula (I), wherein R1 is SH, S- M+ or CH3S-, and M+ is an alkali metal ion, by hydrogenolysis of a compound of formula (II), wherein R2 is chlorine or CH3O-, with a) a hydrogenolysis agent in the presence of an inert solvent and by a direct reaction of the hydrogenolysis product with an alkali metal methylate in methanol, or b) with a hydrogenolysis agent in the presence of an inert solvent and in the presence of a methylation reagent, and subsequently with an alkali metal methylate in methanol, as well as the use of these compounds of formula (I) in the production of 7- [(4,6-dimethoxy-pyrimidin-2-yl)thio]-3-methylphthalide.

La présente invention concerne un procédé de production de dérivés d'acide thiobarbiturique de formule (I), dans laquelle R1 représente SH, S<->M<+> ou CH3S-, et M<+> représente un ion métallique alcalin, par hydrogénation d'un composé de formule (II), dans laquelle R2 représente du chlore ou CH3O-, avec a) un agent d'hydrogénolyse en présence d'un solvant inerte, et par réaction directe du produit d'hydrogénolyse avec un méthylate métallique alcalin dans du méthanol, ou b) avec un agent d'hydrogénolyse en présence d'un solvant inerte et d'un réactif de méthylation, et ensuite avec un méthylate métallique alcalin dans du méthanol; cette invention concernant également l'utilisation de ces composés de formule (I) dans la préparation de 7-[(4,6-diméthoxy-pyrimidin-2-yl)thio]-3-méthylphthalide.
