The invention relates to a method of producing waterproof foam mattresses consisting of a foam body (1). Said body comprises a plurality of holes (2) which pass between the main faces and, on the sides of said body (1), holes (3) having a smaller diameter which cut through the length thereof. The latter holes (3) comprise ties (4) for fastening to a support frame (5). Using said arrangement, the body (1) can be sprayed with a waterproofing material and then left to drain in an inclined position until said waterproofing material has formed a gel.

Lesdits matelas comprennent une partie corps (1) de matériau mousseux, dans laquelle on effectue une pluralité de trous (2) traversant les principales faces et, sur les côtés, de trous (3) de diamètre inférieur traversant le long du corps (1). Lesdits trous (3) comprennent des baguettes (4) de support sur un sommier métallique (5) permettant de pulvériser, dans cet agencement, le corps (1) d'un matériau imperméabilisant et de le laisser s'égoutter en position inclinée jusqu'à la gélification dudit matériau imperméabilisant.
