A METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF CERAMIC POWDERS AND POWDERS THUS OBTAINED Abstract of the Disclosure A method for production in a powdered state of ceramic compounds formed between a metalloid and a refractory metal involves the following steps : a) the metalloid is reacted with a reducing metal within a liquid bath consisting at least partly of a fused salt of the reducing metal in order to obtain a saltlike intermediate compound which combines the reducing metal and the metalloid, in solution in the bath ; b) a reducible salt of the refractory metal is then injected in the bath in a divided state which is directly distributed throughout the bath in order to produce the powder by reaction of the reducible salt with the intermediate compound of the reducing metal.
