ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Cyclic dichlorophosphazenes containing traco amounts of protic impurities such as water are purified by treatment with boron trihalides under specified temperature and pressure conditions. The catalytic polymerization of the resultant cyclic dichlorophosphazenes, which are substantially free of protic impurities, is greatly improved.
