Abstract A method in recording the absorbed nutrition, admixed matter, etc. in human beings, animals, plants, and other organisms, wherein a predetermined amount of one or several tracer(s) not present in a natural manner or otherwise in either the feed/ absorbed matter or in the organism is added to nutrition, feed or other matter absorbed by the organism, is analysed with a view to the total accumulated amount of tracer(s), whereupon the absorbed amount of nutrition or other absorbed matter in a given period of time is determined in the basis of said ana- lysis.
