A process of producing a polyolefin, in one embodiment a polyethylene, and in a preferred embodiment a bimodal polyethylene including a high molecular weight component and a low molecular weight component, the process including providing a polyolefin having an I21 value of from 2 g/10 min to 100 g/10 min and a density of from 0.91 g/cm3 to 0.97 g/cm3; followed by forming a melt of the polyolefin and passing the polyolefin through one or more active screen filter(s) having a mesh size of from 70 micron to 200 micron at a mass flux of from 5 lb/hr/square inch (3,500 kg/hr/m2) to 100 lb/hr/square inch (70,000 kg/hr/m2); and isolating the polyolefin having passed through the screen filter.
L'invention concerne un procédé de production d'une polyoléfine, dans un mode de réalisation un polyéthylène, et dans un mode de réalisation préféré un polyéthylène bimodal comprenant un composant de poids moléculaire élevé et un composant de faible poids moléculaire. Le procédé consiste à utiliser une polyoléfine avec une valeur I21 de 2 g/10 min à 100 g/10 min et une densité de 0,91 g/cm3 à 0,97 g/cm3; puis à former un mélange à partir de la polyoléfine et à passer la polyoléfine par un ou plusieurs filtres à tamis actifs d'un calibre de 70 microns à 200 microns selon un flux de masse de 5 lb/hr/pouce carré (3,500 kg/hr/m2) à 100 lb/hr/pouce carré (70,000 kg/hr/m2); et à isoler la polyoléfine après son passage par le filtre à tamis.
