A method for reducing odors in animal confinement buildings and feedlots includes the initial step of mixing natural zeolite with animal feed and feeding the animal feed to animals to prevent odors produced by the animals. Preferably, natural powdered zeolite is added to animal feed in a ratio of approximately 20 pounds per ton of animal feed. Zeolite in granular form is preferably mixed with a sufficient amount of water to prevent dust, and then applied to the ground within the animal confinement building, to eliminate animal manure odors. The granular zeolite is preferably a 70% mixture of zeolite to 30% filler for application to the confinement building floor, and the ratio of zeolite to water is approximately 20-1. Zeolite is also applied directly to the ground in a feedlot which surrounds the confinement building, to further eliminate odors produced by manure in the feedlot.
