This invention relates to a method of reducing yellow color in coating compositions when dried. This invention also relates to coating compositions which are not yellow when dried. The method for reducing yellow color in the coating composition comprises: a) adding at least two dyes to the composition; b) applying the composition to a substrate; and c) drying the composition, wherein the driedcomposition is not yellow. This invention is useful for reducing yellow color in a variety of aqueous and solvent based coatings, such as, for example, caulks, sealants, paints, roof coatings, floor polishes, wall coatings, and the like, which are not yellow when dried. In addition, this invention can be used to reduce yellow color in liquid compositions.
