METHOD OF REGENERATION OF AN IRON PHOSPHATE-TYPE CATALYST Abstract of the Disclosure A method of regenerating an iron/phosphate-type catalyst typically used for the oxydehydrogenation of hydrocarbons comprising the step of subjecting the catalyst to an oxidizing atmosphere, preferably by discontinuing the flow of organic feed through the catalyst bed, followed by the step of subjecting the catalyst to a reducing atmosphere, preferably injecting organic feed in the absence of oxygen over the catalyst. The method is specifically described with respect to the production of methacrylic acid by the oxydehydrogenation of isobutyric acid.
