A method of removing a chemical sticker from a chemical reaction vessel. A step is taken of injecting cryogens onto the surface of the sticker, while taking care to avoid contact of the cryogens with interior walls of the reaction vessel. A step is then taken of lowering a temperature of the chemical sticker until the chemical sticker shrinks away from the vessel wall and is brittle enough to be broken and removed from the vessel.
