ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A method of repairing articles made of thermoplastic ox thermoset plastic material, which consists of the following described steps. Firstly, removing a portion of the thermoplastic or thermoset plastic material of an article requiring repair such that the bonding surface which remains is rough. Secondly, inserting the article into a mould partially filled with molten thermoplastic or thermoset plastic material of like composition to the article. The article must be supported and maintained in a relationship to the mould such that the roughened bonding surface meets the molten material at a height sufficient to restore the original dimensions of the article. Thirdly, placing the mould and article into a vacuum chamber and drawing the air from the vacuum chamber such that a degassing of the molten material occurs. Fourthly, leaving the article in the mould until the molten material has set.
