ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of repairing an ingot mould for a steelworks which forms cracks, the method comprising applying a patch plate at both sides of the crack, a series of patch plates being provided in succession in the direction of the length of the crack, reinforcement stripe curved to match the curvature of the mould wall being provided on the patch plates and being adjusted to positions transversely of the length of the crack and then fixed on the plates.
