A method of seaming an on-machine-seamable multiaxial papermaker~s fabric to prevent yarn migration. The multiaxial fabric (22) is in the form of an endless loop flattened into two layers (40, 42) along fold lines (38). CD yarns (28) are removed from the folds (38) to create ravel areas. This leaves the MD yarns (26) unbound in the ravel areas. Seam loops (56) are then formed from the unbound MD yarns (26) at the folds (38). A thin porous material (90) is sewn to the fabric at each fold (38). The porous material (90) binds the CD yarns along the edges of the ravel areas while allowing passage of the seam loops through the material. The laminate prevents migration of CD yarn tails into the seam area.

Méthode pour faire une couture sur de la toile à papier multiaxiale qui peut être cousue par machine, pour empêcher la migration de fibres. La toile multiaxiale (22) à la forme d~une boucle infinie aplatie en deux couches (40,42) le long de lignes de pliage (38). Les fibres pouvant être teintes par effet cationique (28) sont retirées des plis (38) pour créer des zones d~effilochement. Cela laisse les fibres sens machine (26) déliées dans les zones d~effilochement. Des boucles de couture (56) sont en suite formées par les fibres sens machine (26) au niveau des plis (38). Un matériau fin et poreux (90) est cousu à la toile au niveau de chaque pli (38). Le matériau poreux (90) lie ensemble les fibres pouvant être teintes par effet cationique le long des zones d~effilochement tout en permettant aux boucles de couture de passer à travers le matériau. Le stratifié empêche les extrémités des fibres pouvant être teintes par effet cationique de migrer dans les zones d~effilochement.
