ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides a method of separating diacetoxybutene form a reaction mixture produced by reacting butadiene, acetic acid and a molecular oxygen, which comprises subjecting said mixture to distillation in a distillation tower and maintaining the temperature of the bottom at the tower at lower than 190°C by controlling the internal pressure of the distillation tower.
