ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A method of stable combustion for the fluidized bed incinerator for burning and decomposing refuse such as municipal wastes, while fluidizing them in which a plurality of air dif- fuser tubes are provided inside the incinerator body, for fluidizing the refuse and a fluidizing medium. The fluidizing air is supplied at high speed or a low speed from each of the diffuser tubes, respectively. By forming alternately greater and smaller fluidized areas inside the fluidized bed, the refuse is stably burnt. Because of the stable combustion of the refuse, the combustion air ratio can be reduced and the combustion cham- ber temperature inside the incinerator can be maintained at a high level.
