ABSTRACT A storage method of palletized cargo, more specifically passenger cars, involving movement of cargoes to the designated cells, storage of cargoes in the designated cells and movement of cargoes therefrom. The movement of the cargoes to and from the designated cells is accomplished in sequential steps in two or three coordinates through the door openings provided in adjacent cells located along the traveling path and emptied for this purpose also by moving the cargoes to adjacent cells. A multi-storey garage comprises a number of individual vertical or horizontal shafts each of which contains guides for supporting elements in at least one of orthogonal directions and openings for movement of cargo to the adjacent shaft. A coordinate drive comprises a number of moveable supporting elements for cargo and means of translation linear movement of cargoes or supporting elements in orthogonal directions with a possibility of stopping in any of fixed points of the shaft.
