Under pressure, hydrogen gas is brought into contact with an organic compound capable of forming a hydrogen molecule compound, such as a hydrogen inclusion compound, in combination with hydrogen. Hydrogen can be stored stably in a relatively light weight and in conditions close to ordinary temperature and ordinary pressure, and stored hydrogen can be easily taken out.
