ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a method of supplying a weft thread to a filling carrier by which the weft thread is inter- mittently drawn out for insertion through successive warp sheds in a needle loom. The weft thread is positively paid out from a cheese at variable speed according to the mount of the weft thread drawn out by the filling carrier. The weft thread tension is regulated to remain constant by the action of spring.
