A method of suspending a bridge girder, in which when main cables (3) supported by a main tower (2) suspend a bridge girder (5) through hanger ropes (4), middle positions of a plurality of horizontal beams (6) provided along a height of the main tower (2) and both sides of the bridge girder (5) are connected to one another by obliquely extending auxiliary cables (7). This method can suppress flutter vibrations detrimental to the bridge girder since a torsional natural frequency of the bridge girder is increased.

Procédé de suspension d'une poutre de pont où les câbles porteurs (3) soutenus par un pylône principal (2) maintiennent une poutre de pont (5) en suspension au moyen de suspentes (4). Les emplacements médians de plusieurs poutres horizontales (6) placées le long du pylône principal (2) relient les deux côtés de la poutre de pont (5) au moyen de câbles auxiliaires à prolongement oblique (7). Ce procédé permet de supprimer les vibrations oscillatoires préjudiciables à la poutre de pont puisqu'il augmente la fréquence de torsion naturelle de la poutre de pont.
