A method of synchronization on the uplink channel of a Simulcast network with a plurality of fixed receivers (BS1-BS4) and a selection unit (20), comprises the following steps. All the receivers are placed in a synchronization search mode (702), in which they search for a synchronization pattern sent by the mobile terminal over the uplink channel. When a receiver detects the synchronization pattern, it produces an initial synchronization context (SC3(0)), which indicates the delay of the radio signal relative to a time reference of the network, and transmits it (705) to the selection unit. The latter broadcasts it (707) to all the receivers that use it to start processing the radio signal. Then, each receiver maintains its synchronization context and transmits it (708-712) to the selection unit on each frame. At regular intervals, the value of an updated synchronization context (SC2(i)) is broadcast (714) to the receivers. Advantage: the synchronization of a receiver which begins to receive the radio signal during a call or alternate turn is facilitated.
La présente invention concerne un procédé de synchronisation sur le canal de liaison ascendante d'un réseau de diffusion simultanée à l'aide de plusieurs récepteurs fixes (BS1-BS4) et d'une unité de sélection (20). Selon ce procédé, tous les récepteurs sont mis dans un mode de recherche de synchronisation (702), dans lequel ils recherchent un modèle de synchronisation envoyé par le terminal mobile sur le canal de liaison ascendante. Lorsqu'un récepteur détecte le modèle de synchronisation, il produit un contexte de synchronisation initial (SC3(0)), qui indique le retard du signal radio par rapport à une référence de temps du réseau et le transmet (705) à l'unité de sélection. Cette dernière le diffuse (707) à tous les récepteurs qui l'utilisent pour démarrer le traitement du signal radio. Ensuite, chaque récepteur conserve son contexte de synchronisation et le transmet (708-712) à l'unité de sélection sur chaque trame. A des intervalles réguliers, la valeur d'un contexte de synchronisation mis à jour (SC2(i)) est diffusée (714) aux récepteurs. Cette invention est avantageuse en ce que la synchronisation d'un récepteur qui commence à recevoir le signal radio lors d'un appel ou d'un tour alterné est facilitée.
