ABSTRACT This invention relates to a method of telecommunication, especially data communications. The method employs plural carrier waves each of which has its own frequency in an assigned frequency ba?? A signal pulse train is divided into a train of frames, and the signal pulses which are assigned in each frame are subdivided in a specified order into subtrains of pulses each of which corresponds to its own carrier waves. The signal pulses which are assigned into one subtrain of pulses are addressed to half or one cycle of the carrier waves within the period of tome corresponding to one frame, and the amplitude of the half or one cycle of the carrier eaves is modulated according to the value of the addressed signal pulse. After that, all of the carrier waves are mixed and transmitted through the desired line or broadcast after modulations by conventional methods. By means of the method, of the invention data may be transmitted at very high speed using a very narrow frequency band.
