A method of testing the performance of a an oxygen supply system (10) in any aircraft including an oxygen supply device (14) adapted to supply oxygen in varying concentrations within a product gas according to demand, in response to control signals (18), a monitoring means (19, 20) to monitor the concentration or partial pressure of oxygen in the product fluid stream, and a control means (20) responsive to the monitoring means to provide the control signals (18) to the oxygen supply device (14), the method being characterised in that the control means (20) provides a predetermined control signal to the oxygen supply device (14) which is expected to respond by supplying a known concentration or partial pressure of oxygen in the product gas (15), and monitoring the concentration of oxygen supplied.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de tester les performances d'un système (10) d'alimentation en oxygène de tout aéronef qui comporte un dispositif (14) d'alimentation en oxygène conçu pour fournir de l'oxygène, en fonction de la demande, selon diverses concentrations dans un gaz produit, en réponse à des signaux (18) de commande; un dispositif (19, 20) de surveillance servant à surveiller la concentration ou la pression partielle de l'oxygène dans l'écoulement de fluide produit; et un dispositif (20) de commande réagissant au dispositif de surveillance pour fournir les signaux (18) de commande au dispositif (14) d'alimentation en oxygène. Le procédé est caractérisé par le fait que le dispositif (20) de commande fournit un signal de commande prédéterminé au dispositif (14) d'alimentation en oxygène, lequel doit réagir en fournissant une concentration connue de pression partielle d'oxygène dans le gaz (15) produit, et en surveillant la concentration d'oxygène fourni.
