A method of transmitting information data from a sender to a receiver via a transcoder is proposed. The information data comprises confidential information data which is encrypted and non-confidential information data. Security information and transcoding-type information is sent together with the partly encrypted information data to the transcoder which uses the security information and transcoding-type information during a transcoding step. The encrypted confidential information data is thereby transcoded without using its content while the non-confidential information data is transcoded, having access to its content.

L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de transmettre des données d'un expéditeur à un destinataire par l'intermédiaire d'un convertisseur de code, ces données comprenant des informations confidentielles chiffrées ainsi que des informations non confidentielles. Les données relatives à la sécurité et au type de conversion de code sont envoyées, conjointement aux données partiellement chiffrées, audit convertisseur de code, lequel utilise ensuite ces données relatives à la sécurité et au type de conversion de code au cours d'une étape de conversion de code. Ainsi, les données confidentielles chiffrées sont soumises à une conversion de code sans que leur contenu soit utilisé, les données non confidentielles étant également soumises à une conversion de code, et leur contenu consulté.
