METHOD OF TRANSPORTING CARDS IN A PUNCHED CARD READER Abstract In a card transport for a punched card reader in which the bottom card in a card hopper is moved sideways before moving forwards into the card reading zone, each card, as it reaches the bottom of the hopper, is moved sideways through a distance less than the width of the card such that the perforations in the card are moved out of registration with the perforations in the card immediately above it, and interlocking of adjacent cards is thus obviated.
