In a method of treating an aluminum dross residue by heating the aluminum dross residue within a heating furnace while supplying an oxidizing gas, a pair of electrodes 30, 40 are arranged opposite to each other within a furnace body 1 so that an electric arc is generated between the both to heat the furnace body 1, the furnace body 1 is heated to a prescribed reaction temperature in the state keeping an inert gas atmosphere, the oxidizing gas is supplied into the furnace while rotating the furnace body 1 around its own axis to heat the content, the oxygen concentration in the exhaust gas from the furnace is measured, and the heating treatment is terminated on the basis of the measured value. According to this method, aluminum nitride or the like in an aluminum dross residue can be oxidized and removed with a minimum heating, and exhaust gas can be also minimized.
La présente invention vise un procédé pour le traitement des crasses d'aluminium faisant appel à un four de réchauffage pour chauffer les crasses d'aluminium par apport d'un comburant gazeux; une paire d'électrodes (30 et 40) sont disposées en opposition dans le corps du four (1), de manière à assurer la production d'un arc électrique, lequel est utilisé comme source de chaleur à l'intérieur du corps (1) du four de réchauffage, dont la température est portée à une valeur prescrite pour préserver une atmosphère de gaz inerte; le comburant gazeux est introduit à l'intérieur du four de réchauffage, qui est en rotation sur son axe; la teneur en oxygène dans les gaz d'échappement est mesurée, et le traitement prend fin sur la base de la valeur mesurée. Cette méthode, qui assure l'oxydation et l'élimination des nitrures d'aluminium et autres substances analogues présentes dans les crasses d'aluminium, fait appel à un minimum de chauffage et minimise la production de gaz d'échappement.
