A method of treating building materials with boron and boron treated building materials. The method involves introducing boron during manufacture of the building materials in the form of a water soluble copper-borate complex. The copper-borate complex enables a wider range of glues and adhesives to be used, is slower to leach out, and provides enhanced fungicidal properties.

L'invention concerne une méthode de traitement de matériaux de construction au bore et matériaux de construction ainsi obtenus. La méthode consiste à introduire du bore durant la fabrication de matériaux de contruction sous forme de complexe cuivre-bore hydrosoluble. Le complexe cuivre-bore permet d'utiliser une plus vaste gamme de colles et d'adhésifs, en plus de présenter une lixiviation plus lente et des propriétés fongicides améliorées.
